Centration measurement is often performed in reference to the edge of the mount or lens. For this purpose, the reference surface must be centered to the axis of rotation of the measuring instrument. A manual procedure is the method of choice here if it has to be done quickly and with a minimum of effort. In this video TRIOPTICS show you the process on the OptiCentric® 101.
The reference for lens centering is often the mount. In these cases, the alignment of the mount to the rotation plane of the stage is critical. In this video Trioptics demonstrate how easily this can be done with the OptiCentric® 101.
